Besides speaking about how grateful she was to receive the honor, Swift further teased about the “exciting things” that are on the way. Soon after the winner of the Pop Artist of the Year and Tour of the Year was announced by Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean and NSYNC’s Lance Bass, Swift’s pre-recorded video was played on the screen in which the hitmaker, who was donning a blue top and a shiny gold neckpiece, said: “I wanted to thank each of you who voted me for this. I also want to thank iHeart for supporting me throughout my career.”
The “Cruel Summer” singer also took a moment to thank her fans who supported her by listening to her tracks, and also for attending the record-breaking Eras Tour. Swift further talked to her fans saying, “It is completely your choice what songs to listen to, what concerts to attend how to spend your time, and so on. So, despite these choices, you guys chose me and I am so thankful for that,” she added.
In addition to sharing a snippet of her last year’s performances, she shed some light on the upcoming release of her 11th studio album, the release of “The Tortured Poets Department”.
“We have so many exciting things to unveil in the future,” Swift said, adding, “As of now, I am continuing with the tour, but I still do have a brand new album to be released “The Tortured Poets Department.” From what she said, it is apparent that the song will come out on April 19. “I just cannot wait to share it with you all,” she said and concluded her thoughtful speech after once again thanking her fans for choosing her for the honor.
‘I am blown away to the very extent that I can’t wait to consistently have fun with you all because I know you are going to love it just as much as I do. Thank you so much,” she remarked.
