The Co-stars Of Suits Announced A New Rewatch Podcast On Tuesday
Adams, who plays ‘Mike Ross’ who is a normal employee at a prestigious law firm Person Hardman, and Rafferty, who plays ‘Donna Paulsen’ who is a legal secretary of Gabiel Macht’s Harvey Specter, will be joined by cast members of the show that had a nine-season run on the NBC Universal cable station.
The podcast announcement comes after the legal drama broke records when it was released on the popular streaming platform Netflix. The recent success of the show revived public interest in it, prompting the creators to come up with a podcast where the actors and people connected with the show will talk about the drama, their experience while shooting for it, and more.
The availability of the older episodes on the streaming platform has encouraged the cast members to share their stories from the past. The untitled show joins various rewatch podcasts such as Jeff Garlin and Susie Essman-hosted “Curb Your Enthusiasm” alongside rewatch pods for shows such as Grimm, Prison Break, Supernatural, Friday Night Lights, The Hills, and Veep.
SiriusXM has previously released rewatch podcasts such as Parks & Recollection and Office Ladies. Cassie Jerkins, Kimmie Gregory, and Christin Shrader will co-produce the upcoming show that is co-hosted and co-created by Adams and Rafferty.
In a recent statement, the actors said that they unanimously feel like it is the right time to rewatch the show that changed their lives years ago. The two also explained how excited they were to work with their castmates and friends for the podcast.
Adams further elucidated his excitement in joining SiriusXM in realizing their mission of bringing “listeners closer to the stars they love.”
“I am also excited to team with Sarah and Patrick in diving deep into a TV show,” Adam Sach, the SVP of podcast Content at SiriusXM said. “Through their collaborative work on the series, the two of them have developed a chemistry both on and off screen that we know will be a delight to the eyes of the show fans, both new and old,’ he added.
Adams’ wife Troian Bellisario, who guest starred in the show as Claire Bowden, confirmed the news on her Instagram on Tuesday writing it is already her favorite show.
