Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix lavishes on a $1.6 million home in the Hollywood Hills amidst a dispute with her ex-boyfriend and costar Tom Sandoval over the $2 million residence they shared during the course of their former relationship. As their post-separation period is nearing a year, Madix is already set to move on with a new partner, and now into a new house.
Madix Is Excited About Her Fresh Start
The house is a recently renovated mid-century modern house built in 1962, boasting a view of Los Angeles and the iconic Hollywood sign.
The residence reportedly has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open terrace on the main floor complemented by sleek kitchen appliances and brass hardware. The second floor features a spacious large suite with state-of-the-art amenities. The property also includes a spacious private backyard and a meditation deck. Madix is undoubtedly looking forward to moving in with her current boyfriend Dan Wai.
Madix and Sandoval Still Have Scores to Settle With Each Other
Even though the relationship between the former couple has ground to a halt, it seems like the two are tied back by unsettled scores from their past. In 2018, the couple had purchased a multi-million dollar house which they shared for years before their breakup. It was revealed that even after ‘Scandoval’, the two co-habited the apartment, with Madix occupying the main suite and Sandoval sleeping in a separate room. They were said to have avoided meeting each other during this phase and communicated only via a third party.
In a February episode of Vanderpump Rules, Madix pointed the finger at Sandoval for the falling apart of their house.
Madix burst out, “The fact of the matter is, he broke the home. He f—- all of this up. He doesn’t get to do that and then just keep it.”
Tom Sandoval had his side to defend, which he revealed in a different scene of the episode. Sandoval spilled it out to his friend Tom Schwartz that Madix had failed to pay her share of the bills for eight months, leaving the onus on him.
He shared how he had struggled to cover all the expenses on his own.
“I’ve been pretty much paying for everything out of all my accounts. Mortgage, gardener, cleaning, utilities, everything. It’s kind of like pulling teeth to get Ariana to pay me back.”
Now the house has played out to be a bone of contention between the two. Madix insists on selling their co-owned house and splitting the proceeds between the two, while her ex-partner has other plans. He wishes to keep the house to himself by buying out Madix’s share. However, Madix filed a lawsuit against him in January 2024 to get him to give in to her plans. Sandoval however rejected this in late February. The matter is now under court consideration.
The Uneneding ‘Scandoval’
Scandoval unveiled in 2023 during one of Tom Sandoval’s performances when he dropped the phone accidentally on stage and his then-girlfriend picked it up and randomly decided to glance through it. The shocking revelation that her boyfriend of 9 years was cheating on her with their friend Raquel Levvis left no room in the mind of Madix for the future of their relationship.
Even after moving on with her new boyfriend and her life, apparently, Madix was seen to be in no hurry to settle beef with Sandoval and get into talking terms with him. In a sneak peek of the new season, Madix shunned Sandoval’s attempts to break the ice between them. She made no bones about her displeasure and her resentment towards him, telling him in his face to not speak to her. Madix had also previously vocalized her initial reluctance to go on the show with Tom Sandoval in Vanderpump Rules season 11.
Notably, Ariana Madix made her Broadway debut in late January as the most dangerous woman, “Roxie Hart” of Chicago.
