According to tipster Debayan Roy, Vivo-backed iQOO will launch its previously announced iQOO 8 smartphone in India in September.
In case you missed it, the device debuted in China earlier this week alongside the iQOO 8 Pro.
It has a 6.56-inch display, triple back cameras, a Snapdragon 888 CPU, and the capability for 120W fast charging.
Here’s a rundown of what we found.
The screen has a 120Hz AMOLED display
The iQOO 8 has a punch-hole design in the centre, low bezels, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has a triple camera setup on the back.
The phone has a 6.56-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2376 pixel) AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and HDR10 compatibility.
It weighs 200 grammes and is available in White, Orange, and Black.
The primary camera has a resolution of 50MP
A 50MP (f/1.8) primary shooter, a 13MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 13MP (f/2.2) telephoto camera are housed on the rear of the iQOO 8 model. A 16MP (f/2.5) selfie camera is located on the front of the device.
The phone is powered by Android 11
The iQOO 8 is powered by a Snapdragon 888 CPU with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
It is powered by an Android 11-based OriginOS and has a 4,350mAh battery with 120W fast-charging capabilities.
The handset supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 5G, and a Type-C interface for communication.
Pricing and availability for iQOO 8
The iQOO 8 smartphone’s pricing and availability in India will be announced soon. In China, the 8GB/128GB model starts at CNY 3,799 (about Rs. 43,400).
