In the last 24 hours in India, 1,65,553 new cases of infection with coronavirus were reported, and 3,460 patients died. The number of daily cases for the third consecutive day has been less than two lakh.
With this, the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 2,78,94,800. Of these, 3,25,972 people have lost their lives due to this dangerous virus.
The number of active cases has come down to 21,14,508.
2.76 lakh patients recovered in the past
2,76,309 patients recovered from COVID-19 across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of patients recovering after defeating the epidemic has increased to 2,54,54,320. The country’s recovery rate is 90.80 per cent.
Apart from this, 20,63,839 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. Since the onset of the epidemic, 34.32 crore coronavirus tests have been conducted in the country.

If we look at the most affected states, so far, 57,13,215 people have been found COVID infected in Maharashtra, and 94,030 people have died.
So far, 25,67,449 people have been infected and 28,298 deaths in the second most affected state Karnataka.
Similarly, Kerala, with 24,94,385 cases and 8,455 deaths, and Tamil Nadu, with 20,39,716 cases and 23,261 deaths, are the two most affected states.
How are the circumstances of the most affected states?
Twenty thousand two hundred ninety-five people were infected in Maharashtra on the previous day, while 443 patients died.
There has been a steady decline in daily cases for the past few weeks. Similarly, in Karnataka, 20,628 people were infected, and 492 patients died, whereas in Kerala, 23,513 cases were reported, and 198 deaths occurred. Tamil Nadu reported 30,016 new cases, and 486 patients died.
