The band’s sole album will be released in 2022.

Taylor Hawkins Net Worth in 2022

According to figures obtained from multiple sources, the iconic Foo Fighters drummer was valued at between $40 and 57 million. Taylor Hawkins earns the most of his money through collaborations with Canadian-American singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, Foo Fighters, and various other ventures, including Coattail Riders.

Early Life:

Oliver Taylor Hawkins was born on February 17, 1972, in Fort Worth, Texas. He and his family relocated to Laguna Beach, California, in 1976. Hawkins’ two siblings are Jason and Heather Hawkins. He was a Laguna Beach High School graduate. As a teenager, he was influenced by Police’s Stewart Copeland, and he was a major fan of Queen’s Roger Taylor and Jane’s Addiction.

Hawkins was a childhood friend of Jon Davison, the current singer for progressive rock giants Genesis. Yes. They’d known one other since they were children and had played in a variety of bands together, the most notable of which was the Heavy Industry tribute band. The band performed at both high school dances and weddings. Hawkins and Davison’s paths diverged following their performances in Heavy Industry in high school. Hawkins was a part of several bad bands that “attempted to sound like Jane’s Addiction,” as he described it. He joined the experimental band Sylvia but left to become the drummer for Sass Jordan. He then joined Alanis Morissette on tour, leaving Sass Jordan behind.

 Alanis Morissette Career:

Hawkins was the drummer for Canadian vocalist Alanis Morissette on her “Can’t Not” tour in 1995 and 1996. He appeared in several of Morissette’s music videos, including “You Oughta Know,” “All I Really Want,” and “You Learn.” Hawkins dated Alanis Morissette for 18 months before receiving a devastating phone call from Dave Grohl.

In 1996, the Foo Fighters entered the studio to record their second album, The Color and the Shape. Dave Grohl and then-drummer William Goldsmith had a falling out during the album’s recording. After hearing Goldsmith’s drum sounds, Grohl completely re-recorded the album with Grohl on drums. As a result, Goldsmith was forced to leave the band. Grohl called Taylor Hawkins for a recommendation on a drummer. At the time, Alanis Morissette was the biggest rock star, and Grohl had no idea Hawkins would leave her tour to join the Foo Fighters. Hawkins indicated enthusiasm for the assignment, much to Grohl’s surprise. Taylor Hawkins joined Foo Fighters for the first time on March 18, 1997.

I’ve had a long and prosperous career with The Foo Fighters:

Alanis Morissette foresaw Hawkins’ next move, ironically (see what we did there?) They met the Foo Fighters while on tour in support of Jagged Little Pill, her massively successful debut album. “Dave is going to invite you to join them at some point,” she said to Hawkins following the meeting. Grohl called Hawkins a year later.

In early 1997, the Foo Fighters were relatively unknown, performing club performances or opening for more established acts such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Twenty-three years later, the Foo Fighters are one of the most successful rock bands, having sold out London’s Wembley Stadium for two nights in 2008, performing to an estimated 86,000 spectators each night.

Hawkins is also a rock singer. Additionally, he is a guitarist and pianist. His debut solo voice with the Foo Fighters was a version of Pink Floyd’s “Have a Cigar.” He sang lead vocals on the original song “Cold Day in the Sun” from In Your Honor. He most recently sang lead vocals on the Foo Fighters’ Concrete and Gold’s “Sunday Rain” from 2017. Hawkins performs lead vocals on at least one cover song throughout each of the Foo Fighters’ live performances. He also contributes to the songwriting for the band. For the Foo Fighters, only Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins have performed lead vocals.

Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, Hawkins’ side project, released a self-titled album in 2006. Hawkins was a member of the SOS Allstars at Live Earth in 2007, alongside Queen’s Roger Taylor and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith.

Personal life:

Hawkins and his wife, Alison, married in 2005.

This union produced Oliver, Annabelle, and Everleigh. They relocated from Topanga Canyon in 2012 to Hidden Hills, California.

Hawkins overdosed on heroin in August 2001 and lapsed into a coma for two weeks.

Hawkins revealed in 2018 to Beats 1 host Matt Wilkinson about the incident: “I used to go out a lot.” I was not a conventional addict, but I was a party animal. There was a year when the drinking got a little out of hand. Fortunately, this man handed me the incorrect sentence with the incorrect object one night, and I awoke thinking, “What the hell happened?” That was a watershed point in the course of my life.”

Yes’s current lead vocalist, Jon Davison, was a childhood friend of his.
