These are the most affected states
Looking at the worst affected States, 64,11,570 people have been found infected and 1,35,567 people have died in Maharashtra so far.
In Kerala, the second-worst affected State, 37,46,121 people have been found infected and 19,246 deaths have taken place so far.
Similarly, Karnataka with 29,34,624 cases and 37,088 deaths and Tamil Nadu with 25,95,935 cases and 34,639 deaths are the next two worst affected
How are the conditions of the states most affected?
In the new cases, 5,225 people were found infected in Maharashtra the previous day, while 154 patients died. The pace of infection in the state has been under control for a few months.
Similarly, 21,116 people were found infected and 197 patients died in Kerala, while Karnataka reported 1,432 cases and 27 deaths.
In Tamil Nadu, 1,702 people were confirmed to have been infected and 29 patients lost their lives.

Coming to the world’s largest vaccination campaign in the country, 57,22,81,488 doses of the vaccine have been administered so far. 54,71,282 doses were administered the previous day. The slow pace of vaccination remains a matter of concern.

According to sources, about 20.99 million people worldwide have been infected with coronavirus so far, while 44.02 million have died.
In the worst-hit US, 3.73 million people have been infected and 6.25 million have died. India is the second most affected country after the US.
