Jalandhar: The administration has breathed a sigh of relief as the new cases of corona infection are decreasing in the district. On Saturday, 29 new cases of corona infection were reported in Jalandhar, and one patient died. Earlier on Friday, 19 people, including a police officer, were found positive in the district. Of these, there are two cases from Central Town. A 64-year-old man died while 43 people recovered.
On Saturday, a large number of camps were set up in the district regarding corona vaccination. All the officers were directed to organize camps in almost every area of the district to benefit a maximum number of people. DC Ghanshyam Thori said that the district administration would get every eligible beneficiary vaccinated before the possible third wave arrives. He also held a meeting with the officials regarding this. Civil Surgeon Dr Balwant Singh, DIO Dr Rakesh Chopra, SDM Jai Inder Singh, besides other officers were present in the meeting.
Corona vaccination camp organized at Ample Public School
A free vaccination camp was organized at Ample Public School. Camp operator Anoop Sarin said that people above 18 years were vaccinated with the Covishield vaccine in this camp. Director Anoop Sarin said that everyone should get the corona vaccine to stay secure if they get infected. It has been seen that those who got the vaccine in the second wave did not have any severe problems. Vaccination increases the immunity power of the body and, at the same time, reduces the risk of coronavirus significantly.
