In the last 24 hours in India, 3,68,147 new cases of infection with the coronavirus were reported, and 3,417 patients died. Recent cases have come down in the country for the second consecutive day.
With this, the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 1,99,25,604. Of these, 2,18,959 people have lost their lives due to this dangerous virus.
The number of active cases has increased to 34,13,642.
Over three lakh patients recovered in the past
3,00,732 covid patients were cured across the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of patients recovering after defeating the epidemic has been 1,62,93,003. The country’s recovery rate is 81.77 per cent.
Apart from this, 15,04,698 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. Since the onset of the epidemic, 29.16 crore coronavirus tests have been done in the country.
These are the most affected states.
If we look at the most affected states, in Maharashtra, 47,22,401 people have been infected, and 70,284 people have died.
So far, 16,38,778 people have been infected, and 5,405 deaths in the second most affected state of Kerala.
Similarly, Karnataka, with 16,01,865 cases and 16,011 deaths and Andhra Pradesh, with 11,45,022 cases and 8,136 deaths, are the following two most affected states.
Fifty-six thousand six hundred forty-seven people were found infected in Maharashtra on the previous day, while 669 patients died. The situation has been improving in the state for the last few days.
Similarly, in Kerala, 31,959 people were found infected, and 49 patients died, while in Karnataka, 37,733 cases were reported, and 217 deaths occurred.
There were 23,920 new cases in Andhra Pradesh, and 83 patients died.
