Congress candidate COVID-19 dies in Tamil Nadu PSW Madhava Rao, a candidate from Srivilliputhur constituency, died in the Assembly elections.
Madhav Rao, who was confirmed by COVID at the end of March, was undergoing treatment at the hospital. As Madhava Rao’s death came after the polls, there is no need to go to the polls a second time. But if he wins the assembly election, the constituency will go to a by-election.
Elections were held on April 6 in 234 constituencies in 38 districts of Tamil Nadu. The counting of votes will take place on May 2.
