The third phase of the vaccination campaign will begin in the country from May 1 amidst the commotion of the third wave of the Coronavirus epidemic. It will be vaccinated to all people over 18 years of age.
On this, the Central Government issued guidelines on Saturday and asked all the states and union territories to implement them.
In this, states have been asked to make more vaccination centres and register people on mission mode.
The government announced on 19 April
In view of the growing coronavirus infection in the country, the central government had announced to start the third phase of the vaccination campaign in the country from May 1 and to introduce the vaccine to all people above the age of 18 years.
In addition to this, the government also gave the state governments the right to purchase directly from the vaccine manufacturers. Similarly, companies were allowed to sell 50 per cent of the supplies in the states and the open market.
What is the status of the vaccination campaign in the country?
Talking about the world’s largest vaccination campaign in the country, 13,83,79,832 doses of vaccine have been applied so far. On the previous day, 29,01,412 doses were applied. Right now, people over 45 years of age are being vaccinated.
Central Health Secretary issued guidelines during the meeting
According to Hindustan Times, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan on Saturday issued a special meeting with Dr RS Sharma, chairman of the Empowered Group on Technology and Data Management for the Corona epidemic.
In this, he asked the states to create a maximum number of centres and register people on mission mode in coordination with private hospitals and industry associations for the third phase of the vaccination campaign.
Hospitals buying vaccines will have to be monitored
According to the guidelines, states must monitor hospitals purchasing the vaccine and declare the price on the CoWin website, declare schedules for eligible people with vaccination slots, and prioritize decisions regarding the direct purchase of the vaccine.
Similarly, for the age group of 18-45 years, only online registration will be done and the employees will have to be trained for side effect management and use of the Covin website.
The state advised operating field hospital
The Central Government has advised the States and Union Territories to identify additional dedicated Corona Hospitals in view of the rapidly increasing number of infected, to operate field hospitals in collaboration with DRDO or CSIR in the public and private sector.
Similarly, directives have also been directed to ensure supply of oxygen-backed beds, ICU beds and oxygen to hospitals, deployment of additional ambulances and centralized call centre based service for beds.
Center advised states to keep records of beds
Center states are required to make real-time arrangements of beds available in hospitals for the convenience of the general public, strengthening private health facilities, increasing the number of centres for quarantine patients, providing telemedicine facilities to quarantine patients at home, in-hospital oxygen in large hospitals It is also advised to operate the plant.
Apart from this, Asha and other frontline workers engaged in corona duty have also been asked to make timely payments.

In the last 24 hours in India, 3,46,786 new cases of infection with coronavirus were reported and 2,624 patients died. These are the highest number of cases and deaths reported in a single day in the country.
With this, the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 1,66,10,481. Of these, 1,89,544 people have lost their lives due to this dangerous virus. The number of active cases has crossed the 25 lakh mark to 25,52,940.
